Sip & Sculpt: Charcuterie Board Workshop at Last Wave Brewing Co.

$75.00

You've been saying you'll get a nice charcuterie board forever. Skip the HomeGoods aisle — come make one.

On Tuesday, May 27, I'm teaching a small group of fourteen at Last Wave Brewing Co. how to hand-build their own ceramic charcuterie board. About 10–12 inches — the right size for a cheese-and-crackers kind of night, or the kind of board you actually hand over to a friend when they ask what to bring.

Here's how it works: you pick your style. I'll have a few templates to start from if you want a little structure, or go freeform and let the shape do what it wants. You can keep it smooth and minimal, or get into stamping and texture (I bring a whole stash — shells, botanicals, letters, patterns). Either way, the board that walks out of your hands will be the only one of its kind on earth. No skill required. Most people in the room have never touched clay before.

Here's how the night goes

Show up at Last Wave Brewing Co. at 6. Your first drink is on the ticket — grab something cold, get settled. I'll walk you through every step: rolling the slab, shaping the board, adding handles or texture, picking your glaze colors from my food-safe palette. You'll sign your name on the bottom and hand it off to me. Then I take everything back to Twin Fish Studios, fire it, glaze it food-safe, and in 3–4 weeks you come pick it up at Last Wave.

What's included with your $75 ticket

  • All the clay, tools, and hands-on instruction

  • Stamps, textures, and templates to choose from

  • Food-safe glazing and firing, handled by me at the studio

  • Your first drink at Last Wave

  • Two hours of being fully offline

  • A charcuterie board you'll still be pulling out five years from now

About the space

Last Wave Brewing Co. is a coastal-inspired brewery with a casual, relaxed atmosphere — the kind of place where a Tuesday night doesn't feel like a Tuesday night. Their rotating lineup of coastal brews pairs well with a couple hours spent making something with your hands.

About me

I'm Emily. I've been throwing clay since high school and teaching it for the last ten years at Twin Fish Pottery. I grew up on the Jersey Shore, I mix my own glazes, and my favorite part of this whole job is watching someone who swore they weren't artistic pull their first piece off the table.
